Brent Bushnell – Founder and CEO of Two Bit Circus
Celebrating its 30th annual graduating class, Fremont University adds to its list of prestigious commencement speakers, Brent Bushnell, Founder and CEO of Two Bit Circus.
Bushnell grew up in a creative and entrepreneurial background with his famous father, Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese. Bushnell attests that these experiential education is the reason he created Two Bit Circus, his experiential entertainment company that produces the STEAM Carnival, a modern-day circus designed to inspire kids in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) and why he serves as a Program Advisory Committee member of Fremont University’s digital marketing program.
Bushnell was also an on-camera inventor on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and a founding member of Syyn Labs that created stunts for Google, Disney, and the alternative band OK Go whose video “All Things Must Pass” generated 45 million views.
“What better story is there than a college that utilizes the latest technology and innovative learning models to prepare its graduates for their careers?” said Bushnell. “I am proud to be part of Fremont University’s mission of bringing technology infused education to a diverse student body.”
The synergy between Bushnell and Fremont is clear as both emphasize technology to create a fun, interactive and effective learning paradigm for students to develop critical thinking skills that will benefit them throughout their careers.
“Brent is such a rock star on so many levels,” said Fremont University Chancellor Dr. Sabrina Kay. “He pushes innovation everywhere he has worked and never rests on his laurels. During this time of knowledge disparity, where the quality of education received is often determined by the zip code you live in, being able to provide the quality education to our students who can contribute to the diversity in the tech industry is a worthy and necessary mission at Fremont University. I am confident Brent’s energy will inspire our graduates to do better and contribute more to our world.”
The 2016 Fremont University Graduation ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles.
