Do you love what you do? If you love sports, helping others, healing, and making a difference, you owe it to yourself to learn the possibilities of becoming a professional sports and rehabilitation therapist. Join a booming industry with infinite opportunities. Do what you love and be excited to go to work every day.
For more than 30 years, Fremont College has been a leader in comprehensive sports & rehabilitation education. Our instructors are top-notch professionals, and they bring their field expertise to our degree programs to ensure that our graduates have the skills they need to begin successful and flexible careers immediately upon graduation.
First, we recommend you start your education at an accredited and California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) approved college, such as Fremont College, as the first step towards your career. You will learn, earn your degree, and have enough hours to qualify for your MBLEx exam (Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination). At Fremont College, we make sure that our students are fully prepared with the tools they need to succeed. When accepted into the college, students are assigned mentors and given sample MBLEx preparation exams throughout their program to fully prepare them for success.
Not every school is accredited. Before you choose your college, please do your research. If your college is not accredited, you may not qualify to take the MBLEx exam to be a professional massage therapist. An accredited college means that it has undergone a rigorous review to meet the accreditation standards and to ensure educational quality. Fremont College is: accredited by ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges) and; approved by CAMTC (California Massage Therapy Council): SCH0063
Most of our students who have decided to pursue their education are here for a career change and a better life. As a busy adult learner, we understand that you need a program that is flexible. That is why we offer both day and night classes. And to ensure that you graduate on time, you won’t have to fight to register for classes every quarter. After you’re accepted, we register you in all of your courses. That way, you know your class schedule every quarter and can plan your life accordingly. Choose a college that understands that your class schedule must fit your already busy lifestyle. This is the reason why your Sports & Rehabilitation Therapy associate degree program can be completed in 15 months, not several years.
There have been significant changes to the certification process to become a licensed massage and bodywork therapist. Fremont College has diligently stayed on top of these changes to fully prepare our graduates to pass the MBLEx exam. This exam is required for the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) Certification so that you can legally practice as a professional massage therapist in California.
