4 YouTube Marketing Tips to Help Increase Brand Visibility

YouTube Marketing Tips

You may think of YouTube as just a place to upload and share videos, but it has become much more than that. It’s a community of its own, just like Facebook or Twitter. It provides another opportunity for brands to interact with consumers and foster relationships. Treating YouTube as a platform for engagement, as opposed to a video distribution site will put you ahead of the game and provide you a chance to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

So how can you, your company, or your future company, get the most out of YouTube? Continue reading to find out.

1. Start with great content
It doesn’t matter how big or small the company is. Content that engages an audience and prompts discussion will leave an impression. Those consumers will pass it along to their friends, and then their friends will pass it on, and so on. YouTube marketing requires some out-of-the-box thinking, but it’s definitely worth the extra brainstorming.

2. Stick around
After you’ve created and posted an engaging video, stick around! Respond to the comments either directly or indirectly. Take the criticism and praise and use it to create something even better. If someone comments that they want to see something in particular, create a mini-video for them. The consumers will know you’re listening and aim to please, which means a lot in the business world.

3. Listen to the numbers
Check your data. Take a look at what people “like” and “dislike.” Find out why viewers are voting thumbs-up or thumbs-down on your videos. Get a dialogue going and learn from the audience. Simple data can be a big help in leading a campaign in the right direction.

4. Use it all
YouTube is a great platform for sharing video content and engaging in discussion, but why not dip into the bigger social media picture? Cross-promote! Post the same video on Facebook and Twitter and you can bet you’ll find more, and different, conversations happening there.
