Fremont College would like to honor your service by offering discounted college rates, free tutoring, 5 mentors who will be assigned to you, and in-demand programs that prepare you for your new career.

    Tuition Assistance

    Air Force Tuition Assistance, or TA, provides service-members with benefits for those looking to further their education while on active duty.  Air Force TA will pay 100% of tuition so long as they don’t exceed:

    • $166 per quarter credit hour
    • $4,500 maximum per fiscal year

    If there are additional costs that Tuition Assistance doesn’t cover you might be able to use your GI Bill or financial aid to pay the difference.

    In order to take advantage of your TA benefits, you need to apply using the Air Force Virtual Education Center located within the Air Force Portal. First you will need to complete your application, once its been approved you can register for classes with Fremont College.

    Air Force TA is not available for post-master’s degree programs and will not be approved for courses leading to a lateral or a lower level degree than you already possess.

    An airman will not be eligible for Tuition Assistance if:

    • You have no degree plan in your record.
    • You are requesting TA for lower level courses from the highest education degree you hold.
    • You are missing grades over 60 days from a course end date.
    • You have suspense dates that have expired
    • You are missing information in your education record.
    • You are requesting TA for courses that begin more than 30 days prior to the request date.
    • You are requesting TA for courses that have already began


    • TA will be provided for a civilian college associate degree even if you have a CCAF (Community College of the Air Force) associate degree provided you do not possess a civilian associate or higher degree.

    • Fremont College waives our $25/Application fee for military students.
    • Fremont College waives our $50/Transcript Evaluation fee for military students.

    Fremont College offers a number of online courses that allow service members the opportunity to earn a certificate or degree from anywhere in the world, as long as you have an internet connection. Our programs can be completed in as little as 7 months and start dates happen every 5 weeks! Instructors are available all year round to help with any questions you might have. In addition to a great staff of instructors, each student is provided with up to 5 mentors to ensure you are successful during and after your studies at Fremont College.

    Additional Info:

    • You are responsible for paying back any tuition assistance money provided on your behalf by the Air Force if you do not earn a C grade or higher for a course.
    • You are responsible for paying for all book costs and fees
    • If you receive an Incomplete grade for a class from your school, you have as much time as the schools policy allows you to clear the incomplete up to 12 months.
    • You are no longer required to obtain your supervisor’s signature on your TA form; however, you are expected to discuss your schedule with your supervisor to ensure that participation has his/her support.
